On behalf of eChinaCash, Mr. Peter Norton spoke about the
Chinese Internet at the Fortune Forum .

Mr. Peter Norton, Chairman of eChinaCash and creator of "Norton
Anti-Virus" programs, participated in the 9th Annual
Fortune Global Forum in Beijing, China, taking an in-depth
analysis of China's Internet.
Mr. Norton and other Internet tycoons participated in roundtable
dialogs discussing China's Internet during the three day Forum
beginning May 15th.
On the afternoon of May 16th, Internet industry leaders including
Mr. Peter Norton, Chairman of eChinaCash, Mr. Terry Semel,
CEO of Yahoo, Ms. Meg Whitman, President and CEO of eBay,
and Mr. Zhang Zhao Yang, CEO of Sohu, discussed the global
Internet market and development of China's Internet.
Both Mr. Norton and Mr. Zhang Zhao Yang agreed that the biggest
issue facing China's Internet is the insufficient development
of e-Commerce ¨C which is directly related to the unwillingness
of the Chinese people to use Credit Cards. However, it is
important to consider that the Internet is used for differing
purposes in the U.S. and China; in China people tend to use
the Internet to gather information rather than do business,
this is not so in the States.
Mr. Norton interestingly pointed out that, "Of the total
revenue from a portal website, 30%-35% comes from advertising.
All of the rest comes from the wireless value-added business.
It is hard to understand." He stated that the value of China's
eCommerce is comparatively low ¨C a key factor in developing
China's Internet.
The Fortune Global Forum opened at the Great Hall of the
People. This is the third time the Forum has been held in
China ¨C both Shanghai and Hong Kong have had the honor of
hosting this international event. With 837 participants, this
has been the most successful Forum yet held.
