The eChinaCash Board expressed its thanks to former key executive, Ms. Sheri Yan

Approaching the one-year anniversary of her departure from the firm, a Beijing-based company has taken the unusual step of belatedly lauding the efforts of one if its former key executives, Ms. Sheri Yan.

"We've been so immersed in the day-to-day operations of the business that we never had the opportunity to properly express our appreciation" said Peter Norton, who is Board Chairman of eChinaCash I nc. (and also known around the world as the creator of Norton Anti-Virus technology).

"Sheri Yan during her 7 years of service with eCC helped to establish and develop the company in a variety of unique and constructive ways, and for that I and my fellow shareholders are indeed grateful" said Norton.

"Sheri Yan's familiarity with the complexities and intricacies of China 's fast-evolving marketplace helped eCC to establish itself during a critical and formative period as an important loyalty-marketing innovator" added eCC Board Director Jim Hsieh.

Ms. Yan, who began her association with eCC in early 2001, rose to the position of Co-CEO and ultimately supervised the company's operations in China until early 2008. She continues to be a shareholder in eCC Inc.

Subsequently, she established a Beijing-based corporate consulting and advisory firm, Australia Business Link China , which focuses primarily on Australia and China business, government and media relationships.

eCC, in conjunction with its key client and partner SinoPec, operates the SAP (Sincere Appreciation Program), a customer-reward/brand loyalty venture which is coupled with SNP's prepaid gas-purchase card.  Since its launch in the fall of 2005, over 26 million gas cards have been issued to Chinese consumers, ranking it as one of the largest programs of its kind in the country.
