John Despres, Director
As an internationally
distinguished economist and US Department
policy advisor, Mr. Despres has held important
posts in the US Congress and served as
the Under Secretary of the Department of
Commerce(1993-1997)in the Clinton Administration.
Currently Mr. Despres is a board member
of several high- tech companies.
Mr. Despres
studied Mandarin Chinese in Taiwan and the
Chinese economy in Hong Kong after obtaining
his Master's Degree in the 60's. He has several
active interests in the cultural and economic
development of China.
