Peter Norton - Chairman of the Board
Mr. Norton serves on the board of directors
of California Institute of the Arts, Reed
College, Symphony Space, Creative Capital,
Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Foundation
for Art and Preservation in Embassies,
and The Museum of Modern Art. Mr. Norton
is Vice President of the Board of Whitney
Museum of American Art, and is the Chairman
of the Board of Signature Theater Company,
Crossroads School, and Board President
of P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center.
Mr. Peter Norton has been the driving force behind eChinaCash since its inception in 2000. As one of the first technology based and marketing innovators to recognize the rapidly increasing business development within China, eChinaCash established a long-term partnerships with Sinopec, China's largest corporation and biggest gasoline retailer. Mr. Norton has committed to China's economic growth by investing substantial funding into the eChinaCash business.
In addition to his recent innovative
ventures in China, retired computer software
entrepreneur Mr. Norton is active in civic
and philanthropic affairs and is one of
the world's top 100 collectors of contemporary
art. He serves on the Boards of several
scholastic and cultural institutions and
currently devotes his time and philanthropy
as President of the Peter Norton Family
Foundation.
Raised in Seattle, Washington,
Mr. Norton made his mark in the computer
industry as a programmer, businessman and
author. He is best known for the computer
programs and books that bear his name.
Mr. Norton sold his PC-Software business
to Symantec Corporation in 1990 to devote
time to his family, civic affairs, philanthropy
and art collecting in addition to establishing
the Peter Norton Family Foundation to provide
increased financial support for the arts
and humanities community.
